48 years old and recently diagnosed….
Ok, so I have to admit that I was a bit high strong as a kid, but I guess that was normal back in the 70’s. I thought it was because I was an only child of older parents and I was not the type to bounce off the walls or anything. I don’t know if I was leader or a follower, I guess I was a bit of both. My parents were very strict and I was extremely attached to both of them.
I started having anxiety attacks when I was 8 years old
.
I remember having some difficulties with reading but I had a tutor and by the 4th grade I was reading at an 8th grade level, I don’t think that was too bad, math wasn’t too a problem.
I thought that my problems with reading were do to the fact that my parents didn’t speak English.
I went to a Catholic high school, no problems there, I never studied but my grades where not bad, I never belonged to any particular click, I just fit in with everyone. I didn’t do drugs or experimented with alcohol in high school, I guess I was a geek or nerd. Basically you can say I was a good kid, but then again I wasn’t allowed to do much and I never rebelled, atleast not in the way I should have, but we will get to that eventually.
So basically this is a little bit of me from my early memories and my high school years, it doesn’t sound much to me like a person with ADHD, but then again who knows.
