Fly on The Wall

As usual we arrive late.  My partner and I, both have ADHD (Inattentive type) and we took two wrong turnings.  It didn’t matter, the beauty of this support meeting is that virtually everyone is late.  The meeting starts at 6.30 in the evening, people trickle in, on   average every 15 minutes, throughout the 2 hour duration.

What did we talk about?.....Well we sort of started talking about some guy’s new theory that we don’t suffer from attention deficit, but instead we suffer from distractibility.  I personally, thought, it didn’t really matter, its all the same thing really.  Thankfully the subject moved on, bounced off the walls, and went round the corners.  We discussed our wonderful ability to ‘wing it’.  Not sure if this is just a British term, it basically means we are used to thinking on our feet in tight situations.

The only problem with this support meeting is that we all want to talk, so there is a lot of butting in and talking over each other.  I think we all get very excited when we’re together, its so wonderful knowing this odd quirks you have are quite common in a room full of literally, like minded people.

I am an artist, capitalising on my ADHD, please look at my webpage and let me know what you think….I am always welcome any feedback.
