Share the ADHD-friendly quotes that inspire you, and enter to win a Kindle e-Reader in time for the holidays!
This contest is now closed.
For a chance to win one Kindle e-Reader, post to the ADDConnect forums your favorite inspirational quote -- famous or otherwise -- about living with attention deficit or parenting an ADHD child. Link back to your quote on Twitter and Facebook for additional chances to win!
Prizes: One (1) winner, selected at random, will receive a Kindle e-Reader with Wi-Fi ($79 value). Five (5) runners up, selected at random, will receive one of four books from ADHD expert Stephanie Sarkis, Ph.D. (see below).
To Enter: Post your favorite inspirational quote about ADHD (with proper attribution) to http://connect.additudemag.com/forums/viewthread/384/. Each quote posted by a unique user in this ADDConnect forum will be considered a contest entry. (Duplicate quotes entered by the same user will be disqualified.)
After submitting a quote, entrants may increase their chances of winning by linking to their ADDConnect forum post via a Tweet or Facebook post. Each qualifying Tweet -- posted to Twitter with an #adhdquotes hash tag and a link back to that entrant's reply on http://connect.additudemag.com/forums/viewthread/384 -- and each qualifying Facebook post -- including a similar link to the ADDConnect forums -- will be considered an additional entry, with a limit of five (5) each per quote. Finally, each time another Twitter or Facebook user Re-Tweets or Likes your inspirational quote Tweet/post, you will get yet another contest entry!
Note: To be considered, you must have an account with ADDConnect and must log in with a valid email address to post your quote(s). Those who do not will not be including in the drawing.
Deadline: The Best ADHD Quotes Contest begins at 5 p.m. EST on November 14, 2011, and ends on December 4, 2011. Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. EST on December 4, 2011. Entries will not be acknowledged or returned. To see full rules, click here.

Inspirational Quote
“If children can’t learn the way we teach,
then we have to teach the way they learn”
attributed to Robt. Buck, who worked with special needs children with animals 40+ years ago before this has become an accepted and successful form of behavioral health therapy.

“ADHD may be called a disorder, but I believe that someday we will understand it as a gift.”

Helene,
In some circles we have to call ADHD a disorder so we can get paid to treat it. There so many gifts our children give to us. They give us a view of the world that we can’t see.
so, praise and affirm the gift and enjoy the journey.
ADD/ADHD has been a disorder for many generations. In this fast paced world - “ADD"ers stand out more than ever. This fast paced world also makes it harder for us to function. Thank goodness that the medical community is beginning to understand this as a true medical disorder.
My quote: “The key to success for ADD/ADHD is to diagnose it, treat it, train it and then embrace it!”
Dawn King
May I quote you when I talk to parents?
“If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.”
One of my favorite quotes ! Enjoy !
Absolutely Dr. Don! Please feel free to use my quote in any treatment setting. I hope it is helpful!
ADHD? Yeah, well at least I’ll never be accused of being boring!
