Hi.  This is my first post.  I have a question about Omega 3s and Multivitamins.

My son’s pediatrician recommended 1000 - 2000 mg of Omega 3’s.  The doctor mentioned that he likes Nordic Naturals brand.  Has anyone used this before?  Im a little confused about the dosing on the bottle with all Omega 3s?  EPA/DHA what should I look for?

He also recommended Natures Plus Gold Multivitamin Chewable.  Has anyone tried these,?  How do these taste?  I need a sugar free / dye free multivitamin that my child will actually take.

Thank you

The standard doses of Omegas are much, much lower than what is recommended to help ADHD. What your doctor recommended is pretty much the standard for kids with ADHD. http://www.additudemag.com/adhdblogs/11/10095.html

I keep seeing Omega 3 as an alternative therapy and yet Harvard put out a medical journal linking it to prostate cancer. http://www.harvardprostateknowledge.org/high-intake-of-omega-3-fats-linked-to-increased-prostate-cancer-risk
