    Bible study idea...PLEASE READ!!!

Hey guys, I have recently come across a wonderful way to study the Bible that is ADD/ADHD friendly and has been very helpful for me. I go to biblegateway.com, go to the book I am studying through (1 John right now), copy about 4-5 verses, and paste them into a word document. Instead of trying to explain it, I will just show you an example: (1 John 1:5) 1. This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you This is important¡Äit is a message from Jesus himself. He told us, and we want to share it with you! 2. that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all Not ¡ÈGod has light shining on him¡É but ¡ÈGod IS the light.¡É Jesus is the light, too. God has no darkness in him. God loves the light, and does not want us to have any darkness in us either. So basically, you break the verses up into little chunks and then think about each chunk. Since you are constantly copying and pasting and moving from section to section, it does not give you as much opportunity to get distracted. I do it on the computer instead of hand writing it because typing is so much faster. Anyways, it really helps you to think through the passage, and I have noticed bits and pieces of the verses coming to me throughout the day since I have started this. I pray that this can bless someone else, too! (This is a variation of the method presented in “Becoming more than a good Bible study girl”) Grace and Peace
