Couples With One ADHD Partner

ADHD and chemo

My husband was diagnosed with ADHD, combined type over a year ago. He did not take any medications, just went to weekly cognitive behavior therapy. 8 months ago he started chemo for Hodgkins lymphoma. The chemo has been over for 2 months now and he seems to be a changed man! He is still forgetful and loses things all the time, but his personality went from uptight, angry, bad attitude to calm, thoughtful and considerate. I am happy to see the change but am wondering if it will last. Anyone have any experience on ADHD and chemo? Can it possibly change the brain cells? Or, as he says the cancer has made him see the important things in life and he is just happy to be alive.

I don’t have insight to your question, but I’m glad to hear that he is a changed man! I can only imagine a better attitude helps tremendously!
