Artificial colors and flavor, do hey bother you or not???

I have a quick question. Do foods with artificial colors or flavors affect your ADHD , mood, or skin, and if so, how??? I’ve noticed my skin has broken out more than usual bc I ate some food with artificial colors over the holidays, before that I was very careful of what I ate and have returned to being careful.

Interesting point. If soda ties into this, then I’d say yes. I’m weaning myself off soda and see it helps my focus to not drink it.

Yes,  I do believe that artificial color and flavored anything gives me fuzzy brain,  like an actual hang over, as well as any dark soda products,  I drink sprit occasionally but have leaned to love water again.

I agree, artificial colors in foods are not good for a brain effected with ADD. In my opinion aspartame is the worst. It is toxic for all people and should be banned. Real cane sugar or stevia is the best. I only use stevia for health reasons.

I don’t think artificial colors are good for any of us and try to avoid them for the entire family. My son is 11 and has ADHD and cannot tolerate red food coloring at all in large quantities. Drinking a read gatorade is likened to Jekyll and Hyde! Literally. Whether ADHD has anything to do with that or not, I can’t say. I would avoid it for health if no other reason.

For me, I don’t believe it affects me, but then again, I avoid it because it does not look appealing to me.

Artificial colors are the primary cause of my facial tics, but avoiding them has not had a noticable effect on my ADHD.

I have just given up diet Coke or any other brown soda.  Only clear at this moment and hopefully will wean myself off the rest soon!

I gave up all sodas and almost all foods with artificial colors and flavors. I feel clearheaded, my PMS has calmed down, and my skin has cleared up.
