Christians With ADHD
Be anxious for nothing!
A long with my ADD and Disgraphia I also have anxiety issues. To make a long story short we are having a new hay barn built right now, and I always get nervous when other people are doing what I wish I could do. So the bible verse that seems to help me a lot when I start to have problems with anxiety is “Phil.4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God; and the peace of God, Which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Hi Rancher John
that was such a timely scripture verse. i am trying to think of other scripures that will be fitting, what about? “Casting all yr cares on Him because He cares for u” now i am not to sure where in the scripures it is found this is just thinking off the top of my head. What about If “He cares for the lillies of fields, how much more will He care for u?”
God is good all of the time and He cares for us each one and He knows us by name, what a presiouse thought for today to hold onto.
we serve a great God
(please excuse my spelling errors i have a.d.d. and dislexia)
wow
hi there is is me again, i was just thinking of a special way to getting to know how specail God is to us and the story that comes to me is, Last night my 15teen year old daughter was reading her bible in bed when i chatted to her this morning she mentioned to me and to my husband around the b/fast table that she saw how faithful God was to her when her Grandpa died and when she had problems at school and ect…...... the point that i am getting at is, so often we don’t see God hand moving in our lives until we relfect back on His amazing faithfulness in those times we needed Him most…................ this was my little gold nugget for the day. Never under estermate the power of Gods love in everything we do and say, He is a good all of the time….............. Have a wonderful day seeing a new barn been built
Uniquely Me, I love your writing. It’s so sincere, as I’m thinking you are too. *hugs*
Hi Rancher John, I was just pondering on anxiety, fear and worry… and how much is mentioned in the bible…. fear v faith… #interesting
I agree with you regarding the Philipians one - that’s one of my favourites too.
Another is:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths. Proverbs 3: 5-6
I love this verse, especially with regard to the anxiety & depression as it really attacks your thinking… it helps remind me that God knows the bigger picture, and to trust Him… to take it all to Him, commit it to God and acknowledge him in every way and things will work out the way it should..
One other thing I learned from a Franciscan Friar after a wonderful conversation… ‘Be still and know that I am God’... remember that old song? It can be used as a breathing exercise
Inhale on “be still and know’ exhale slowly ‘that I am God’... and so on…
I love that one to help still my mind, especially when I’m finding my ‘to-do’ list is overwhelming me… I just find a quiet space, sit on the floor and breathe… much like anyone else who does meditation would…
Ok friends… nice to share with you… take care
Uniquely Me
When ever I hear of parents raising their children up to be Godly I try to let them know how big of a thing they have done for their childs future.
hi there jo_demarco
thanks so much for yr encoragement, i like the way u use scripture to do breathing exersise, that one i really need to try out.
I love the song be still and know i am God,always my favorate :0.
@ Rancher John how is the barn building going ? trusting that God will be yr strength daily ;0
My go-to verse when I’m feeling anxiety or feel my shame being triggered is “Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will comfort you, I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” in Isaiah 41:10. Sometimes when I’m really struggling, I will start repeating that verse over and over in my head and really focusing on what the verse is saying, and after a while I actually start to notice my anxiety start to fade.
this is so amazing and so true jwait
inside to hear this and i am sure that all of heaven sings when God’s children come together to encorage each other with words to uplift and make our paths just that little bit better.
LAST night my daughter of 15 read her bible and she said to me ” mom, i sleep so much better once i have read my bible ” i was so
May God bless yr day with His sunshine and Love.
