Just Diagnosed With ADHD (Adults)
Best University for ADHD student ?
Hi there,
I was diagnosed with ADHD like a week ago. Now everything makes sense.
However, I go to FSU at Fairmont,WV and I was thinking about transferring a while ago. Now that I know what’s wrong with me,and I need to work with it.
Does anyone know any University that provides that extra attention for people with disabilities?
I searched the internet I only found ( Lynn University in Florida)
but I need more options

I have a bunch of links here but as a rule any college can work with you if you know how to get help. First step get the education on your condition.

You have gotten this far don’t give up on where you are if it works for other reasons.

Keep in contact my son is a freshman at UMD and while he has his struggles his friends in study groups are helping plus meds and lots of workaround tricks and technology.
What are you studying, what are your specific issues.
Good Luck

Hi
..
Thanks for the sites, all I’ve been doing lately is reading about ADHD still I’m learning more and more about it ..
Yes, I’ve talked to FSU disabilities department, and they told me my rights and how they can help me..
However, I’m looking for a place like Lynn University, where they have a special program for disable students, that would make school easier for me.
My major is Marketing, Math n Science is the hardest on me.
Daydreaming all the time.. can’t focus at anything.
I اhave depression and anxiety, when it’s got bad I went to the hospital, and thats how they diagnosed me with ADHD
also I had perthes disease ( on my hip joint) while growing up, and even just walking can be really painful on me and that affected me I think ( cause of depression)
