Parents of ADHD Children

Cogmed (Miami, Florida)

Hello everyone, has anyone tried Cogmed working memory training? I’m brand new in this site and if someone knows about it, specially in the area of MIami, Fl, it would be very useful to see if is good for my 7 year old son.

Hi, I’ve been looking into this, too - if you search the board here, you’ll find a lot of helpful info.

My doctor and I just got off the phone about this subject a few minutes ago - she recommended we wait to try CogMed until next summer, as it can be hard work and my son doesn’t need more difficulties on top of his school-year homework struggles.

From what I’ve read, it works for some kids, but not others.  Since Cog-Med is so expensive ($1850 here where I live), and there’s a chance it might not work for my kid, other parents recommended Play Attention and/or Brainware.  I’m going to start looking into those ASAP!

hope this helps a little!
