Cogmed memory training

My son is 13 and is in 7th grade this year. He has a lot of trouble retaining information. His is an intelligent boy,but this problem is bringing his grades down and his self esteem. I have been doing some research online and was wondering if anyone has tried the Cogmed memory training. It sounds great, but I cant seem to find anyone who has done it or even heard of it. Also,if there are any other programs like it that anyone can suggest that would be great!

There is some discussion over on the Medication & Treatments forums on Cogmed, found here: http://connect.additudemag.com/forums/viewthread/831/.
My son did Interactive Metronome when he was 6 years old and we saw zero difference. I am sure it is beneficial for some, but certainly not for everyone.

Of all the brain training programs available, I see the most positive comments here on ADDconnect.com about Play Attention, which I think is very similar to CogMed.

Good luck!
