Inattentive ADHD

Collectively Inattentive?

Do people with Inattentive-Type ADD generally get along well with one another? I’d like to hear about other people’s experiences and thoughts on this matter.

I’m glad I found this site and this group. I would say yes

It depends…I’m ADHD/combined inattentive and I strongly believe my husband is ADD, although he has never been formally diagnosed (he agrees with me but won’t get evaluated). He is extremely disorganized, unaware of his surroundings and struggles w/ reading emotional cues in others. I’ve had to take on the role of ‘line leader’ all these years and my husband has been rather happy to just go along w/ whatever I put out there—it hasn’t been an easy road for me. Rather, it’s been the source of much friction b/c I’ve had to compensate for the both of us even though I too struggle w/ organization, attention and distractions. So, considering my circumstances, it would depend on who you asked your question….me or my husband. My answer would be’ no’ and I would venture to say that my husband would answer a profound ‘yes’.

Yes we can get along like soul sisters, my best friend is inattentive like me and we are so similar. Our friendship is my most treasured relationship besides my partner who is inattentive ADD plus mild Aspergers. We get along enough to be the love of each other’s lives and raise kids together well but we still butt heads every once in a while 😀
