Hello Ionut, I am new here and undiagnosed. I have lived a full life, raised three great children, the youngest 20 the oldest 31, and have been married 28 years. I have my own business (truck repair) and work for Colgate. I have lived with all the symptom’s of ADD. I just started researching all of this to see why I have fought so many battles with all of this, vague memory, social awkwardness,  terrible time management, crazy over sights and mistakes ect…. I just want you to know, I think you are already doing the right thing by identifying it and seeking help. Never be ashamed of who you are. You have a bright future ahead of you. Life can be terrible and wonderful everyone has their battles but you should not fight them alone. Get help,  seek out a professional. I wish I would have at a young age. I think you will have a great future and accomplish much but you have to do your part.

it is always better go to an M.D. (Psychiatrist) for evaluations of this. there may be certain physical processes or anomalies in your body that can cause ADD -like symptoms as well. that is like the M.D. shrink should be your first step. He may want to look at your most recent bloodwork, or prescribe one, to exclude certain things, etc. but don’t have false hopes. you cannot be cURED from ADD , per se. it is incurable. however, you can learn to manage symptoms pretty well, and enjoy creativity in your life and in nature around with or without medication. The doc. is the one who should recommend it for you if needed, after some tests and questions. Doc is the way to go.

It is typical for people with ADHD to have higher levels of dopamine at night, which causes insomnia. In the morning, they feel tired because the amount of dopamine they need is lacking.

Without proper rest, ADHD symptoms get worse. I think you should start by telling your parents that you have a problem sleeping, and that is why you are having these problems. Which is true, because your sleep cycle is not in sync with the normal day and night cycle. I would look for a sleep specialist first, they may be able to help. If you’re not improving, you could then ask for a referral to see a doctor who is knowledgeable about ADHD.
