Desperate for non-ADD spouse support

I am the spouse of hubby that came to diagnosis of ADD later in life. Between new ADD diagnosis and a chronic physical disease, he seems to be on a continual downward spiral. He does not seem to be responding to ADD meds well, and we are lacking a source of help on learning to live with ADD. Our relationship s rapidly falling apart.I am desperate for some sort of ADD support group. I live in greater Charlottesville area.

Get as much knowledge as you can.  Delivered From Distraction is a wonderful resource book..          Start a group yourself.  I promise you.. there are many like minded souls in your area.
It may sound crazy, but you might enjoy going to AA or Alanon meeting.  The 12 step program works with many situations.  Good Luck

Hello, my husband has ADHD and we are in the process of trying to find a med that will help him (and me) cope!  I would love to join a support group since my family and friends do not understand all the issues that that are attached to this behavior and I am sure they are getting weary of listening to me. I live about 45 minutes west of Charlottesville and would like to find people that are dealing with this situation. Even though I understand his behavior is due to his ADHD, it does not make it easier when I need to deal the anger, mood swings, hyperactivity, etc…..HELP!
