Finally a diagnosis

After 65 years of misdiagnosis and dysfunction.
I went for my appointment. The Dr was a delight. She took me in the office and talked with me for a while we had a great time. When she took me to the girl who was going to do the testing she told her she was going to have a blast with me. she also said €œthis is what ADD looks like at 65 € LOL and that she wished she could have kept me to talk to but that €œwe would still be talking 4 hours from now € my life was so interesting.
OK I guess that means when I go back on the 14th that I will have someone to talk with again that understands me. Yippy what a treat.
Meanwhile I am going to go pick up my chain saw and finish cutting up my firewood. I hired a young boy to help me with my chores this year. I have never done that before but I really am suffering from lack of physical energy to get it all done..
I am so happy that I found this sight. I have already shared the link with one of my grand daughters. Her mom has it, she has it her kids have it. I hope some of them check this out. I have also checked out the chat on http://www.flylady.com  that was helpful too. They stop chatting on the hour and half hour and go do 5 minutes of housecleaning!!! who ever figured that out was genius! Gotta go and feed the horse and goats.

Great news for you Sue.  Flylady.com is a great place isn’t it.

Hi, Sue!  I was diasgnosed with ADD “officially” on my 50th birthday.  I was not surprised; I was relieved!  My situation was identified and there were answers to obtain and things to learn to help myself.

The testing was actually amusing for me.  I had learned over the years how to force myself to focus, so I did well on the earlyiest parts and fell on my face at the upper end.  My doctor was also amused, but said that inspite of my learned abilities, there were things that could be done to make life better for me.

I really enjoyed reading your post.  You are up for this challenge, so keep going!

I also love fly lady but, 99% of her e-mails are targeting us impulse spur of the moment buyers to buy her products and that’s very upsetting to me.  Yes I did buy a few of her products so her e-mail sales pitch does work, just be careful or you;ll own one of each of her products.  I used to think the e-mails where nice little stories until I put two and two together and was pretty pissed at her using us to make money for herself.  Yes I do agree with the silly sink thing, it does work for me, but I don’t like the way she treats us like a 3rd grader in the special corner for extra reading help (yup that was me too even though I hit 4.0 in college) either way Im keeping an eye on her sneaky sales approach wink
