I may have ADD

I am a 55 year old male and am unemployed. For years I have felt that I don’t really learn as others. I am an epileptic and have received a grant to attend school for IT work. I am really fighting to learn all I can but, what I read 5 min ago are lost rather quickly. As for many I will be labeled and judged. I can use information about treatments and support. Being unemployed really does not help in getting assistance for diagnosis and treatment.

Frankly, with the Epilepsy situation, I would be talking to a neurologist about this.

See if you can obtain low cost medical care through your state welfare agency.

If your Epilepsy has not got you on disability, then getting help could be a problem, but you need to try to find help.

Brain chemicals are not to be trifled with if your Epilepsy is well controlled.  That is why I suggested a neurologist.

Dianne, thank you for your reply the problem is that I have been under the care of a neurologist since I was about 22 years old. However lately I have found that my Epilepsy condition may be associated with several other conditions.

As far as low cost medical care through state welfare agency is somewhat a lost cause. I have tried since 22 years of age to find help from the state, government and other organizations with a contact this group they can help. After contacting several groups I found I was just going around in circles.

Lately I have contacted several high ranking officials to receive the same outcomes. Remember todays Politicians are yesterdays “Used car salesman” they will sell you what they want and if you need something in return it is not their job.

Currently my wife is not comfortable with the thought that I may have either ADD or Executive disorder but, I feel a lot of this is fear for me and my health. However she does believe in me and my decision of getting tested.

We live in a world that others just want to line their pockets, I do want to thank you for your response.

Have a super day. I will keep learning to get ahead
