Vyvanse Reviews

Is there a Vyvanse Shortage or something ?

I been taking my Vyvanse Prescription to the same Pharmacy (CVS) this whole time and today they Rejected my Prescription, They told me that CVS will no longer Carry Vyvanse :(  , Just my luck ,

I got off Vyvanse because it finally gave out on me after 1 year , and switched over to Adderall XR , and Due to the Shortage i havent gotten that either. Whats going on!!?? Does Anyone Know Any Big Pharmacy Companies that Carry Vyvanse ? i tried target a while back and they said they dont carry that . i tried all the local small Pharmacies and right away they said no ..i really dont wanna go back to Provigil :(

Please dont say it, it just took 13 months to regulate Vyvanse for my son.  But I will be the bearer of bad news, I went to pick up my son’s 1 month supply last week and they could only give me 5 pills and I had to wait 4 days to pick up the rest.  :‘O

i just had to have my Adderall XR changed to a lower dosage. when i got to my pharmacy they gave me a generic form and said they did not have the 10mg for a long time now, so i had to get 5mg and take twice as much. perhaps there are a lot of people out there that take these meds and they can not keep up with the amount. i just started the prescription today, so i am hoping it does not react like the other stuff did. i am hoping that this med works and if it does not, i either will change it or get off of it totally since it is a narcotic and can be addicting. i hear the withdrawals are bad. good like with your looking for the right med and store. i use walgreens. have you tried walmart yet?

I been reading about the shortage of Adderall and Vyvanse. It does seem strange that these Medications are the ones that ARE of shortage. I dont hear alot about many others. HUM, wonder what that says? I HOPE You have good luck with the Generic Adderall. IT WAS TOTALLY BAD. Like I was given a whole other drug that worked like Nothing. I was spacey and felt just strange. Hope you can take it. Just what happened to me. I am changing to Vyvanse 30 because of that same things with Adderall. Not getting it. I hope Vyvanse is just as good.

Well i ended up sending an email to Shire asking them if they have a list of pharmacies that carries Vyvanse and they replied within a day , they told me CVS has to carry Vyvanse. Even if they dont have any they could order it and will get there within a few days. My Psychiatrist
is going to call them and take care of it.

@Walden well i was taking 70mg of Vyvanse and then a Booster after the 8 hours of Adderall 30mg sometimes i forgot to take my Adderall i got no withdrawals, nor was it addicting. Though everyone is different
Walmarts dont Exist in East LA lol and walgreens doesnt carry it :(

@ tinatammy Vyvanse was The best smile loved it Hope it goes well with you.

@curlyfreakout
No Shortage but the pharmacist said alot of people that are waiting for Adderall cant wait so are switching to Vyvanse its probably going to get harder to find.

Thank You SO MUCH for finding this information for us. I find that if I dont take the Adderall XR first thing in my Day, at 5am, I am so tired and ready to sleep. That was the Main thing I see as being Addictive. But if you need it all the time, then there should be no reason to go off. I am a bit nervous with Switching to Vyvanse 30, But now that I heard your commentm, I am Excited about it. I fear it will wear off since no XR like the Adderall. I will Pray no difference.
Thanks again. I never realized Adderall was A narcotic and these others weren’t? I thought they were all the same.

I just picked up my prescription of Vyvanse at CVS on Monday.  There is no shortage that I’m aware of.  I had no problem with it.  I was told that the Adderall shortage was improving, which I’m hoping is true because I want to go back to that one.  It works better for me.

The drugs are only addicting to those who shouldn’t be taking them in the first place.  I have no problem going off them, whether it’s skipping days or longer periods of time.  I asked my doctor last month about it because I was tired of hearing them described as addicting.  Beyond what I just said above, he said that the only way they can be described as addicting for an ADD person is if they feel they cannot possibly function in life without it… in other words, mentally addicted not physically.  The drugs themselves wear off during the day… as we ADDers know all too well!

We have enough to put up with without buying into fear-mongering propaganda…

Thanks for sharing about shortages and being Addictive. I agree what you said about the Mental vs Physical Need.
I am going to try Vyvanse, as my Insurance clasifys this differently than Adderall and is Much Cheaper. For the time being anyway. Thanks again for all inputs. These are the places to hear truths. The MD’s can only say so much to us. Thanks
