Medical Treatment ADHD for Adults - Who is treating you?
I am currently recruiting for physicians looking to join our ADHD specialty clinics opening in the Southeast and the pediatricians have been identified in many of the areas we are opening and they are AWESOME! but I am struggling finding physcians who are intersted in treating ADHD full time.
Many times treatment comes on the behavioral side and we are really looking to partner with the strong psych practices in the southeast for the other issues that we know adults and children struggle with along side ADHD.
Anyone have insight in to a good physician they can share my contact info with? Focus is opening in Charlotte, Greenville, SC, Charleston, Birmingham, New Orleans, Raleigh and Nashville!!!!!!! Be excited and check out our commitment to diagnosis, treatment and continuity in our follow up at frustrationtofocus.com
Danielle at mdmanagmentsolutions.com I appreciate any help!

Danielle: I am soon to launch a program called Thriving with ADD that utilizes a mind-body approach and can be used with meds, traditional talk therapy, or diet. Thriving with ADD helps adults with ADD realize that there are 3 core areas where symptoms occur ... with inattention (which leads to being distracted), with hyperactivity (which leads to difficulty with balancing demands) and/or impulsivity (which leads to difficulty with restraint - starting and stopping when they choose).
Clinically, as a psychologist, I have learned that clients prefer to work toward an outcome or goal and resist trying to work on stopping an area of limitation. As a result, Thriving with ADD helps people gain a sense of freedom and a capacity for choice by focusing the ability to focus (as they address their inattention), their capacity to settle themselves (as they manage their hyperactivity) and the willingness to act and think with purpose (as the work with their impulsivity).
A recent graduated client told me, “the meds helped me focus but your program helped me to have a conversation with my husband.”

sounds like a person who is interested in helping. i live in sw indiana, when you type in dr,s for adhd seems like every dr. is qualified. which most are not. in order to get rid of the stigma of adhders. is to make sure are drs are qualified.[more than a day of study] are a paper says they are. adhd is real and needs to be treated by a real adhd dr.
