Meds for a Teenage boy

My 16 y.o. boy was diagnosed this past spring.  He has tried Concerta, all different doses, Vyvanse, all different doses, and lastly, Focalin, all different doses.  The pediatrician wants to refer us on to a specialist which will be at least 5 weeks.  Any suggestions for meds from those of you that have been down the path of the Concerta, Vyvanse, etc not working?

I would wander if the diagnosis is accurate. Adhd med’s. really only “work” if the person has the condition. Don’t get me wrong it does usually take a few med’s. b/f you find the right one that works for you. My 10 year old son has been taking Vyvanse f40mg for 2 years now & it works ver well for him, I myself take Focalin XR 20mg which works for me also.
How did/does he feel while on the medicine? What characteristics does he display that are “ADHD typical”?

He was tested this past spring and found to be ADHD.  When he was young he was hyper, but I spent much time re-directing him.
Now his grades are slipping because he feels he cannot keep himself on task.  He constantly gets up from his desk and moves around the room. He is a MAJOR procrastinator and writing papers are painful for him.  I can go on but think you get my drift.  I only acted now because it was evident he was now having problems juggling 7 classes. I’m hoping there is a medicine out there for him!!!!
