I also have CRS syndrome (Can’t Remember S***). If there were a vitamin or “herb” that would help I would be buying it in bulk.
If you do a web-search all sorts of things, especially Ginko Baloba, will come up touting how helpful they are with memory. It all appears to be b.s.
That being said, I did read one article that discussed the short term memory problem associated with forgetting where you put your phone, your keys or your pens. Per the article the problem originates with the brain not even forming the short term memory of having put down the phone in the first place. Most folks “just remember” - but not me.
The article did have a suggestion that I have tried and it actually seems to help but it does take some effort. The jargon used was being “purposefully aware.” Actually being aware the phone is in your hand and purposefully looking at the place where you are putting the phone down. I mean stare at the place for a couple seconds so you have the chance to actually form the memory of where the darn phone is.
That solution, while it helped, failed to recognize that devoting extra brain power to remembering where we put something is taking brain power away from getting our job done.
My suggestion is for you to pick ONE place for your phone to be. When your phone is not in your hand, it needs to be in a particular pocket or on your belt. The hard part, for ADDers, is forcing yourself to ALWAYS put your phone back in the same darn place EVERY TIME.
Once you develope that habit, you will no longer need to devote any extra effort remembering where the darn phone is.
As for office pens ... who cares. Put a BOX of pens in your desk, a BOX in your car, a box in your briefcase and a box at home.
Hope that helps.
your funny thanks for the advice already working on this just purchased 50 dam pens..lol..Hey by any chance or you also single, rich and handsome???lmao
