Moms' informal support group in central Iowa

Any Iowa moms of kids with ADHD or other conditions looking for support? I’ve organized a very informal group that meets 2 evenings a month, usually at a coffee shop in Ames. Hey Kay
I guess I am the second Iowa mom, nice to meet you via computer.  I live in Dubuque, and would love to get
together.  Where do you live?  I have a 13 yo daughter with ADHD/Aspergers and recently she was diagnosed with growth hormone deficit.  It has been a difficult couple of years with friends, social issues and life in general.  Oh the joy of it all.

Well I’m glad to meet another Iowan.

Are you still meeting?? I live in Marshalltown and am looking for a group to discuss ADD/ADHD. I have ADD and my middle daughter has ADHD. My husband and I are at a loss of what to do with our daughter and sometimes at a loss as to what to do with me!! Anyways… I hope you are still meeting.
Please let me know. Thanks- Jennipher

Hi Aimless and jennfam5—
We meet in Ames. Marshalltown is close, but Dubuque would be quite a haul to attend a support group! We’re off schedule this month—we try to meet the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, but the fourth thursday this month is Thanksgiving, so our next meeting should be December 8th. email me at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) for details!!

Hello, I live in the Des Moines area and have a 12 year old who was diagnosed about a year ago with ADD/ODD and depression.  Currently, he is in an outpatient adolescent program here that will help us better understand his behavioral needs.  We take it day by day.  A support network would be wonderful!
