Hi Tina1961,
Welcome!
I may not be able to give you any advice, but there are those who can! They will probably want to know how old your daughter is, what kind of medication and dose she is taking, what is working and not working, and specifically what kind of support you are seeking. You will most probably get it!
Also it’s not uncommon for parents of ADHD kids to have ADHD too, and if parenting an ADHD child wasn’t hard enough add being an ADHD parent to the equation to see some real fireworks! If you think that is true for one or both of you (parents), you will benefit from support in that area too.
All the best to you.
Hi Thane! I think you have come to a great place for support. How old is your daughter? What is her diagnosis? I have a sixteen-year-old daughter who is ADHD/BIPOLAR/ODD and was diagnosed at the age of four for ADHD/ODD and Bipolar at about 12. Is there a particular difficulty you are having?
Hi Thane,
I too am new to this and have been reading the posts. They have been very helpful. My son is 10 and diagnosed with ADD. We are not medicating but instead seeking other alternatives first. Check out the threads and sign up for several in which you are interested or that apply to your situation. So, far this has been a GREAT find and I have shared this with the other mom’s I know that have kids with ADD/ADHD. Good luck to you and your family.

Hi Thane,
Welcome I have been in this site for several months now and I can honestly say it is a wonderful place to get so much info as well as support from many wonderful parents who are going through the same things that I have been going through with my 7 yr old son.
On this site you can post any questions but, please give details so we can help you. You will be surprised of the feedback here. What meds is your child taking and what info do you need?
