ADHD Leaders and Entrepreneurs

Overwhelmed and Starting a Business

I have just undergone a major life change.  I moved out of a very chaotic family situation (substance abuse) with my daughter and all our pets and relocated to NJ.  I am starting a business and I am feeling completely overwhelmed.  I was diagnosed with ADHD a year ago, which explained A LOT.

What I really need is some support with planning and accountability.  Maybe a group of like minded entrepreneurs having brainstorm sessions.  It would help if we could organize a group with a scheduled meeting time to help set goals and discuss our progress and difficulties.

Team up to hold and be held accountable with following through with goals.  I could really use some support and feedback.

Oh, I am starting a small artisan chocolate business after years in commercial real estate.  I have many creative ideas and I am having difficulty prioritizing.

Any thoughts or suggestions.

***I highly encourage you to post this question to ADDitude’s new discussion forums, as well. I think your question would get a lot of attention in the Getting Things Done forum:, specifically the Peer-to-Peer coaching thread. ADDconnect is transitioning over to this new forum now.***

An ADHD Coach can work with you on tailoring strategies, systems, and tools to be successful in your business venture.

If you can, hire an assistant who is strong in areas where you are weak, like prioritizing, planning, organization, getting things started, staying on target with goals and timelines, etc.
