ADHD and College and Higher Education

PHD Candidate

I am a PHD candidate at an online school. I have been diagnosed with ADHD and depression. I am on medication and I am seeing a therapist as well. I have managed to get to the point where I can start writing my dissertation, however, I have procrastinated so much that I am now on academic probation. I am looking for someone who can provide in person help/coaching. I desperately want to finish. I have never been a quitter and I don’t want become one now.

Basically, I want to find a reputable academic/tutor/coach that I can hire that understands my situation. Does anyone have any suggestions?

In person dramatically reduces your choices. Most coaches will work by phone, Skype etc.

It’s best to Google the ADHD Coaches Organization.

Hi sverige23! has a great directory of resources, including many ADHD Coaches. Take a look and see if you might find the right match in this list:

Good luck to you!

PhD + ADHD + Depression = Suffering!

Allow yourself self-compassion every day.

Support your mental health every day; not easy in an academic environment.

Good luck!
