Self-Help Thread
The holidays are here and I’m sure many of us right now are more ADD/ADHD than usual for a variety of reasons! I wish we could make this a sticky-post but alas I don’t think it works that way.
So, I see a lot on the boards folks who need help but can’t afford a coach, organizer, etc. and may not even have simple help like family/friends/meds, etc. So I wanted to provide a few things I’ve managed to ingrain into my routine over the last 37 years (some pre-diagnosis/meds and some after) without any other help besides randomly seeing/hearing things and being in a mental position that day to go “well, duh! That’s so simple, why didn’t I think of that?!” :-D
The idea is anyone else is free to also leave a comment with something they do that helps them get through the day and be less scatterbrained, be it an organizational tool, meditation/prayer (be specific about mindset?) or an exercise you do - whatever.
Let’s help each other since it’s so difficult for most of us to find help!!! We can start to have better days in 2012 one step at-a-time, right?!
