What to expect during a Camp Kirk home visit

We are going through the application process for Camp Kirk, but don’t know what to expect during the home visit. It makes us a little nervous. Camp Kirk sounds like an excellent camp. However, we have never been required to undergo a home visit as part of a camper application process. Is this a common feature for ADHD camps. My son has only attended a regular day camp before. Has anybody ever applied to Camp Kirk. If so, what is the home visit like? What did they look for? What sort of questions did they ask? Should we expect the staff to stay for dinner?

Any insight would be appreciated.
Susan in PC, Ohio

My son did go to Camp Kirk for 2 consecutive years.
He is returning this year at the age of 16 as a leader in training. I do not think anyone made the home visit due to distance. It is an excellent camp with wonderful staff. I don’t think you should stress about the home visit as a possibility. It might just be to make your son comfortable with one of the leaders.

I would ask Erica or Henri ( likely who you be in touch with) what their expectations are. I’m pretty sure it’s quite informal.
