Pick one person in the back of the room, smile at them and then use them as a safe person to look at if you lose focus. It can also be a spot on the wall. Breathe! Picture them all naked!

The same way you get to Carnegie Hall: practice, practice, practice.

When you get your talk written, practice it until you can do it with just a little help from your notes. Not only does it come off as smoother, it can also serve to keep your nerves at bay.
