Our son struggled with stealing.  In 6th grade he stole a teachers cell phone off her desk and then another from a girl in class.  When we got a nook from Barnes and noble he got onto the amazon App Store and ordered 300. In games on our account that we never got reimbursed for although we sent them all back!  We stripped his room of everything and put it in storage.  He had to earn his things back.  When it continued we applied for him to live in a Christian youth home for troubled kids.  He was accepted and we took him two states away for the reality tour.  We told him he had one more chance and that stealing would send him there and he has stopped stealing.  So for the time being our struggles are with his academics not slipping and not letting him be lazy or rude.  Good luck
