turkey breast

I’ve been reading about how bad nitrates are, especially for ADHD.  Processed turkey breast is a staple for my picky seven-year-old;  he has it in a sandwich for lunch every day.  I’d like to replace it but there are only about seven things he eats (basically eggs, mozzarrella cheese, one kind of chicken nuggets, pasta, fruits, broccoli).  Any ideas?  He does eat peanut butter too but we generally have that for breakfast.  Do you think it would be worth it to remove turkey breast from the lineup? Thanks…

You can purchase deli turkey meat without the nitrates and preservatives. There are a couple brands that offer it in US supermarkets.

Thanks;  we don’t live in the US.  I doubt it’s available here but I’ll do some research;  it’s a good idea.

I guess an alternative would be to purchase raw turkey breasts and roast and slice them yourself.
