is it someone taking wellbutrin xl 150 ml
i feel so sick half of my day struggling with function is it someone know for how long the side effect stay i take this med over 2 weeks

Check with your doc and/or pharmacist about the length of time for these initial side effects.  I think after 2 weeks your body should be used to it by now but the pros SHOULD know.  In my experience with anti-depressants, most of them made me very drowsy, dopey and non-functional but I had undiagnosed thyroid issues also.  I took Wellbutrin before the xl version came out and I did okay but eventually had to stop because of problems after a year or so.  I’ve noticed with my elderly aunt that you sometimes aren’t bothered by side effects until many months later! Take care!

Hope you find your answer.  I was on it for a while.  I did not have any side effects.  It just did not help me. I finally went to a behavior health place. She put me on lamotrigine.

I take 450mg of wellbutrin every day as well as 40mg of adderall for my adhd and when I first started taking the wellbutrin I felt sick alot.  Dizzy nausea, headache.  I hated the side effects, but they didn’t happen every day.  I kept taking the wellbutrin and it helps me a great deal.  I just have the odd day here and there where i feel the nausea, an dizziness.

For some people the side effects of Wellbutrin will last considerably longer than 2 weeks, and when that happens they usually stop taking it.  But since you don’t really explain what exactly your side-effects are, I’m not sure I can be that helpful.

Wellbutrin is an antidepressant that is very different from other “usual” or “typical” antidepressants.  It rarely makes people drowsy—in fact it’s usually the opposite—the people I’ve talked to describe it as more like way too speedy, lots of trouble sleeping, edgy, irritable, horrible.  I’ve heard many compare it to how it feels when taking a Medrol-Dose Pack (short course of cortisone for allergic reactions)—if you know how THAT feels…

Again, most people I’ve personally heard describe having those bad side-effects are usually the ones who just can’t stand taking it very long so they stop.  It isn’t the greatest antidepressant, so usually it’s reserved for only a couple things—ADHD (especially if there’s also depression) or to help people stop smoking (in which case the drug is called Zyban).  But both Wellbutrin & Zyban are the same generic—bupropion.

I take 300 mg at night so I don’t feel sleepy during the day it’s kinda like a sleeping pill.
